Hearo
Assistive Technology and Remote Supports
Hearo is a technology company who has developed an ecosystem for individuals to be able to live independently on an individual basis.
This proprietary ecosystem allows for providers, caregivers, guardians, etc to be informed on what device is being activated which shows what is occurring in and out of the individual’s home. The activity of the devices is then displayed on the Hearo dashboard where providers, caregivers, guardians, etc. are able to observe in real time with time-stamped information.
The Hearo system ensures each system is individualized by creating customizable “rules” for every device. For example, an individual has heart issues: the watch can be worn and a “rule” can be implemented to identify if the individual’s heart rate is above or below a specific designated threshold. When the “rule” triggers the device, the provider, guardian, caregiver, etc. will be informed by text message or email to report this concern and resources can be deployed to react accordingly.
Devices are able to work simultaneously together to ensure providers/caregivers/guardians are being informed of different levels of concerns that are occurring within the home and out in the community. Devices also provide teaching strategies to be implemented to build the individual’s confidence in living independently and/or living safely within their home and out in the community. With Hearo’s technology, individuals have gained confidence and skills to reduce their staffing ratio in other services to achieve the overall goal of full independence.
